Nocturnal Malice
The waves lap gently in the fading light,
They are streaked softly by the sleeping crescent
Whilst the stars echo the silence of the night.
Cautiously the seabirds shuffle out of sight,
And as they sorrowfully whisper "repent, repent!"
The waves lap gently in the fading light.
Watery hills glide with the grace of flight;
Elegantly they rise and evanesce with dignified intent,
Whilst the stars echo the silence of the night.
Smudged clouds roll delicately with purposeful might -
Soon they shall smother all without consent;
The waves lap gently in the fading light.
Against the serenity wet winds begin to fight;
Under a muffled glow the tamed stallions suffer torment,
Whilst the stars echo the silence of the night.
Swiftly the crags grow in spite,
Their anger builds; their anger must vent!
The waves roar brutally in the ebon light,
Whilst the darkness echoes the wrath of the night.

It's what makes poetry fun
But yes, this is a lot better than the one I read last night, i'm proud :'

Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something.
